CO/Max's Story

Handsome Max is about 8 yrs old and although on the smaller side (32 pounds), he has that lively Britt energy, so a big yard to run and play in, where he can chase birds, and patrol for those pesky squirrels would be great. Someone to take him for long walks is his idea of a perfect day! He would like a family that was more at home than away; perhaps an active retired person, or someone who works from home. He gets along well with other dogs, but likes a slow introduction. No cats, please, or younger children, as he will chase cats (look like big squirrels!) and he may be too enthusiastic for the littler kids. He prefers not to be crated, but loves to have his tummy rubbed. Max has occasional mild seizures and takes epilepsy medication daily. One of the medications does cause him to drink a lot of water, so he must be able to be let out frequently. His medication is not expensive. He would benefit from obedience classes, to give him quality time with his new companion and to be best Britt he can be! Please don't let Max's medical condition stop you from considering him as a family member. His medication has this condition under control; many, many dogs have epilepsy and live full and happy lives, giving their families years of love. He just needs someone to understand. Max is up to date on shots, neutered, micro chipped and is heart worm neg. If you are interested in Max, please contact Susan at 206-524-3066, wanbran@comcast.net. Or, your can fill out an adoption app. at www.nbran.org and Susan will contact you.
