Clyde's Story

Clyde is the perfect mid-size boy. He's quiet, gentle and loving; a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. He likes to play with his toys, walks well on a leash and loves to romp with other dogs, even the little ones. He is not sure how he feels about cats yet, so we’d prefer to place him in a home without cats. Clyde is nervous around young children so an ideal home would be one without children, or older children.

Clyde was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (which is common in dogs) and Addison's disease (which is not so common). He will need to stay on his medication for the rest of his life and will require periodic checkups to make sure he is at his healthy best. There's no reason he shouldn't live a long and happy life. This sweet boy would be perfect for someone who wants a quiet, loving companion. He has already been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped so he's move-in ready. Give this sweet boy a chance. You won't be sorry.

If you're interested in Clyde, please complete our adoption application. You can also contact Sherrie with ASAP Rescue at (850) 570-4196, or email info@rescueasap.org.

Animal Support and Protection (ASAP) Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is quite thorough to ensure that we are placing the right pet in the right home. All adopters must be at least 21 yo. An adoption application must be completed for each pet that someone is interested in meeting, and potentially adopting. If the adoption application is approved, we will contact them to schedule a meet & greet with all members of the household, as well as any existing pets in the home. We also do a home visit before placing an animal in a new home. Oftentimes, the meet and greet and home visit can be done at the same time. If the meet & greet and home visit go well, they will complete an adoption contract and pay the appropriate adoption fee.
