Meet Cleo
Hi, my name is Cleo and that might be short for Cleopatra because I am absolutely a queen. I am a dazzling icy blue-eyed husky with so much love to give. I am around 2 years old, and I might be a little cautious when I first meet you, but I warm up quickly and will be your best friend in no time.
I am potty trained and have never even had an accident in my foster home. Additionally, I walk amazingly on a leash. I even walk well with my foster brother and rarely get distracted, content to hang by your side and walk at your pace. I have tried wearing a harness on our walks, but I’m not a fan of putting one on and I walk so gently that I don’t need one.
I am good with other dogs and my foster brother is teaching me how to play like a husky. I only recently discovered the zoomies, but boy are those fun. Sometimes I like to play sheriff if I think other dogs are playing a little too rough so I would probably be better in a home with a more submissive dog. Additionally, I have not been tested with cats. I would also be content to be your one and only so I could get all the attention.
My foster family is working on crate training with me, but I am not a fan. Even when I have human or dog company, I might whine a little when I first go in my crate. Fortunately, I am calm for a husky and can be trusted not to be destructive if I am not crated when you are gone or sleeping.
Like some huskies, I am a pretty picky eater and kibble is not my favorite. If you have people food though, I will sit patiently near you in case you wanted to offer me a bite. With the right treat as motivation, I’m starting to learn basic commands like sit and paw.
I have a strong love for people but sometimes I get scared when there’s a loud noise or sudden movement (my nemesis is the vacuum). Because of this, I might do better in a home without small children.
My ideal forever home would be one that would be able to shower me with love and affection. Sometimes I’ll curl up on your lap just to remind you that I’m here and could use some extra pets.
I am spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
