Clara Belle's Story

Like Owning Two Animated Plush Toys

Clara & Belle are basically what would happen if two tiny teddy bears came to life and immediately started following you around the house like little unpaid emotional support interns. These fluffy chow/rat terrier mix sisters are absolutely precious — soft, tiny, expressive, and somehow always looking like they just heard the best gossip of their lives.

Clara is the social butterfly of the duo. She’s all smiles, all wiggles, and fully convinced every person she meets might secretly be her new best friend. Belle is a little more reserved at first and likes to take a moment to assess the situation like a tiny distinguished lady at brunch. But once she warms up? Same exact goofy smile. Same loving little personality. Same “please hold me immediately” energy.

The girls are incredibly sweet, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, people-friendly, and would absolutely thrive in homes with another playful, confident dog. They’re still just babies at around five weeks old right now, so they’re learning all the normal puppy things — routines, confidence, toys, potty training, and how to stop sitting directly in the water bowl.

Their mama is only around 25–30 pounds, so we expect them to stay on the smaller side full grown. Just enough fluff to dramatically improve your quality of life without taking over your entire couch.

These girls have that “storybook puppy” vibe where they don’t even feel real. Like somebody knitted them out of black clouds and good intentions. You can already picture them trotting around the house behind you while you make coffee in the morning or curling up beside you after a long day like they’ve lived there forever.

And while they’re sisters, they are available for adoption separately.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040

+++++++

Clara and Belle are currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
