She came to Yakima Humane Society through Animal Control after being removed from a difficult situation, and she is still adjusting to all the changes in her life.<br/><br/>Right now, Clara can be timid, flighty, and unsure in new environments. Because of this, we recommend keeping her on a leash indoors for the first few weeks, allowing it to drag behind her so she can be safely guided when needed. We also recommend leash-walking her in a secure yard until she becomes comfortable with her new family and surroundings, as frightened dogs may try to escape when they are unsure of where they are.<br/><br/>Clara would do best in a calm home without young children. While she may not show her true personality right away, we know there is a sweetheart hiding beneath her shy exterior.
