Clang's Story
Clang A167858
54 lb. neutered male, approx 5 years old

-This handsome boy is a sweet, affectionate guy who enjoys spending time with his people. He walks nicely on leash without pulling and took some time to explore the yard before deciding he'd rather come hang out with me. Once he settled in, he enjoyed getting attention, giving a few kisses, and happily wiggling around on his back with his legs flailing--clearly showing off his silly side!

-He's treat motivated, knows "sit," and takes snacks well, although he needed a few reminders to take them gently. He was receptive to the guidance and did well with a little encouragement. Inside, he had a bit more energy and was busy exploring, but he would periodically come back over to sit with me for pets and attention. He wasn't interested in toys or playing during our time together, preferring people and affection instead.

-A sweet boy with a fun, goofy personality who enjoys attention and is looking forward to finding his people!

-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros

Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids

*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt

*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.

*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.

*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.

**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**

*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30, except for Wednesday when we open at 11:30.

**We ask that if you're looking to adopt, you arrive before 5:00 to be able to have enough time to meet the dog.
**1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
