Clancy's Story

When we first saw Clancy she was scared, shut down, and making herself small in the corner of an overcrowded shelter kennel. She survived it, but picked up a bad case of kennel cough that left her so sick she could barely eat, sleep, or catch a full breath.
We brought her into our program and she spent her recovery being an absolute delight in isolation foster and now she's all better. No cough, no sniffles, nothing. This puppy is cleared for takeoff.
Once she perked up, she really perked up. Her foster says she's loads of fun and has more energy than they know what to do with. They've been playing catch, tug o war, and getting in plenty of belly rubs- basically living the good life together. She's also great with kids, house trained, crate trained, and adorable!
Clancy is sweet as can be, and she's happy to bring that good girl energy wherever she goes. If you want a young dog who plays hard and snuggles harder, she's your girl!

helplesshounds.com/adopt

Helpless Hounds Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
For a complete list of our adoption criteria, please visit: https://www.helplesshounds.com/faqs NOTE: You must complete and submit an application and be approved to adopt prior to being able to meet the dog. We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always try to select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs and try to find the best match for both dog and human. We leave a dog’s profile online until either it has been adopted, or has received several applications. We are a non-profit organization that spends our adoption fees and donations on vaccinations, surgeries, various medical tests, medicines, food and supplies needed by our dogs. Our fees do not cover the overall expenses incurred by the care of our dogs, but they do help defray the costs involved. We thank you for your support.
