Cinnamon's Story

Cinnamon - 68 lbs | 6 years old | Lab mix (best guess)

If you're looking for the dog who already seems to have life figured out, meet Cinnamon.

Cinnamon is a 6-year-old Lab mix who came to Heart of America Humane Society through our Outreach Team, and she has settled into home life like she has been doing it forever. Despite spending much of her life outdoors, she has all the qualities people dream about in a companion dog.

She is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, gets along with other dogs, is cat friendly, and has mastered one of her favorite hobbies: stretching out for a good couch nap. Cinnamon has a calm, easygoing personality and seems happiest just being near her people.

Sadly, years spent outside left Cinnamon vulnerable, and she tested positive for heartworms. The good news? Heartworm disease is treatable, and her treatment will be fully covered by the rescue. Dogs who complete treatment go on to live happy, normal lives, and Cinnamon deserves every bit of that future.

She's the kind of dog that makes you wonder how she ended up needing a second chance at all - but we're glad she found her way to us.

All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee is $250.

Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Breed mix is a best guess based on appearance. We cannot guarantee breed makeup.
