Cindy Lou's Story

Meet Cindy Lou! 💕🐾

Cindy Lou is a spirited 15-month-old sweetheart who came to our rescue as part of a memorable litter of 11 puppies, along with their mom. Her mom’s DNA confirmed she is a Malinois/Shepherd mix, and because the puppies all looked so different, several of them were DNA tested. Two came back as a mix of Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Husky, and Malinois, while another tested as 50% Australian Shepherd with Malinois/German Shepherd.

Cindy Lou looked like she could belong to either group, so we decided to test her as well—and her results surprised us! Cindy Lou is 28% Golden Retriever, 26% Siberian Husky, 23% Belgian Malinois, and 16% German Shepherd. That’s a whole lot of smart, athletic, and loyal wrapped into one adorable package.

Cindy Lou may be the smallest of the litter, but she absolutely makes up for it with grit and spunk. She confidently holds her own with all her brothers and sisters and is always right in the middle of the fun. She’s playful, curious, cuddly, and endlessly sweet.

She is an active girl who will need daily exercise and regular activity to stay happy and balanced. Like her siblings, she’s always ready for the next adventure. When meeting new people, Cindy Lou may be just a tiny bit shy for the first minute or two—but she warms up quickly and then she’s all love and affection.

Cindy Lou does well with other dogs and enjoys their company. She has not yet been tested with cats.

She is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, and nearly fully potty trained. She would do best in a home where her training can continue with consistency and patience as she finishes polishing those skills.

Cindy Lou would thrive in a loving home that can provide activity, structure, and lots of affection. In return, she’ll bring energy, loyalty, and a whole lot of personality.

If you’re looking for a smaller-but-mighty companion with brains, beauty, and heart, Cindy Lou is ready to meet her perfect family 💛🐶
