Cindy's Story

Hi there! My name is Cindy and I'm a spayed female, 48 lbs., 2 year old, bully/husky mix. My foster family says I'm sweetheart who’s ready to fill your life with joy! I'm a playful and affectionate lady that loves to play fetch, chew on toys, and even dance! I may be a bit shy at first, but I warm up quickly. I'm on my way to being potty trained and I'm eager to find my forever home. I also love meeting new dogs, as long as they don't mind my shy approach. If a sweet, gentle and playful gal is what you’ve been dreaming of, then we just might be a match made in heaven. Cindy ID# A0958572
I recently went on a sleepover with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did:
Cindy is painfully shy! We had to build her a 'tent' to give her a place to hide. She was initially pacing and panting but eventually settled down a bit. After she inspected the new environment we went out to the backyard where she seemed a little more at ease. We quickly saw that Cindy loves to dig in the garden. She seemed to have a great time digging up rocks and then running off with them as if they were toys! We also got to witness her love of water. I was trying to water the plants and ended up watering Cindy! On walks she was mostly pretty good until she got freaked out for unknown reasons! Cindy is such a sweet, affectionate and playful pup once she gets to know you but it takes her a while to get there. Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.
You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
