Cinderella's Story

Once upon a time, a little baby bulldog was born, full of hope and wonder.
They named her Cinderella.
She's seven years old now, sturdy, and built like a velvet ottoman with feelings. We'll fast-forward through the part where she was mistreated, where her needs went unmet, because Cinderella doesn't dwell in the past. We'll start with the part where a kind lady (her fairy godmother?) rescued her and brought her to AAS - a step closer to being swept away by her Prince (or Princess) Charming.
Cinderella has double cherry eye. She's nearly blind and lives with constant discomfort. To help you write her next chapter, Animal Aid Society will cover the medical care necessary for her eyes.
But if you're imagining a sad, withdrawn dog, imagine again. Like any proper princess, Cinderella is beautiful inside and out. She absolutely adores humans. Her favorite activities include leaning against you with her entire body weight, arranging herself on a soft surface, and initiating cuddle sessions she has no intention of ending. If you attempt to stand up too soon, she'll deploy her girth strategically. "Too soon," in this case, means before she's fallen asleep. Snoring magnificently.
This Cinderella can't rely on birds, mice, or other helpful woodland assistants to brighten her day. Because she's blind and in pain, she can be anxious, and she needs to be the only pet in the home. No dogs. No cats. Just her and her person or people, living quietly and kindly, with predictable routines and a lot of affection.
She's not looking for a palace. She's looking for a soft place to land, a steady human presence, and someone who understands that love sometimes means letting a bulldog fall asleep on you even when your leg has gone numb.
If you believe happily ever afters can be quiet, warm, and a little bit snorty, Cinderella may be your enchanted princess. No glass slipper required. She would crush it.
Animal Aid Society is located at 80 Butler Farm Road in Hampton. Visiting hours are from 9am to noon, including weekends and holidays.
Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!

PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.
