Chuckie's Story

Meet Chuckie  — a five-year-old, 25-pound liver and cream Miniature Schnauzer with movie-star looks and a personality to match. Chuckie is currently in New York state and, through no fault of his own, needs a new home. His owner is facing significant personal challenges and wants nothing more than to ensure Chuckie lands in the very best situation possible. This is a loving decision made with his happiness in mind. The good news? Chuckie is neutered, house-trained, and walks nicely on a leash. He does well with other dogs, though he tends to carry himself like a confident little gentleman — perhaps because he knows how handsome he is.  Cats are an unknown, and children make him nervous, so a calm, adult home would suit him best. At the groomer, Chuckie can be a bit shy and shaky at first, but with soothing words and a few treats, he relaxes. He’s been seeing the same groomer for three years, which speaks volumes about his consistency and care. His veterinarian follows fear-free practices, and Chuckie now does great at visits — no muzzle needed. His ideal home? One where someone is around most of the time — perhaps retired or working from home — so he can enjoy companionship, routine, and reassurance. Chuckie thrives when he feels secure and connected to his person. If you’re looking for a loyal, devoted companion who just wants stability and love, Chuckie may be your perfect match.
