Look at that beautiful, squishy Bulldog face! Chubbs is a 2 1/2 year old 60lb English and/or American Bulldog.

He is a typical Bulldog with a quirky and funny personality. That being said....Chubbs has this special, "I love life", personality that only true Bulldog lovers will understand.

Even though Chubbs is just adorable, we will only place him in a home that has the Bulldog experience.

Chubbs is strong in physical strength as well as strong willed. He is goofy, sweet and loving and wants all the attention and cuddles he can get so you will have to expect a large grunting lab dog.

He is good with other dogs that he chooses to be friends with. So any potential adopter that has other dogs they will have to meet first.
He may just be best as the only dog as he demands attention and wants to be the star of the show. And because he was neglected and starved, he is not up to always sharing his food or good treats with other dogs and will bark and make lots of noise to let them know (no human aggression at all).

I would not recommend cats as he wants to chase them.
He loves every human he meets but may just be too much energy for small children.

Chubbs came from a sad situation where he was left tied outside 24/7 with no vet care and was physically treated badly. His previous owner lost his home and Chubbs was surrendered to us. He was thin with parasites, skin and internal infections.....and of course he was strong heartworm positive.

Chubbs has completed all his vetting and treatments, doing outstanding and ready to go to his new home.
He is healthy now and like mentioned....loves life!

Because he was deprived love and attention that is all he wants now. So a new family that can spend a lot of time with him would be ideal.


** Some things to know about him before considering adoption:

He will need a new family that will be committed to making sure he gets his heartworm preventatives every month without fail. He went through extensive treatment to rid him of his heartworms that was tough on him physically and do not want him to go through that again.

He has a thing about water hoses and squirt bottles....he goes a bit nuts wanting them! He thinks it is a game. So if you are watering your lawn or washing your car or using a spray bottle for say cleaning....you will have to do it when he is not around, otherwise you may need a new hose or spray bottle if he gets a hold of it. :)

He loves to ride in cars and will hop right in the car ready to go!
He is not really good in a crate for long periods of time....he will find a way out. He is good if kept in a separate room (laundry, spare room or kitchen) with a strong baby or dog gate in the doorway when leaving the house.
