Chowder's Story

Meet Chowder!

Chowder is a 6 month old male Great Pyrenees mix, currently weighing 43#. Chowder was brought to our rescue at 9 weeks old and was adopted shortly after. He is now looking for a new home that can give him a little bit more than his current family is able to.

Chowder loves running around in the backyard, chewing and playing with his stuffies and toys, and cuddling on the couch with his family. Chowder would do great with a family that is experienced with bigger breeds and can help Chowder fix a few insecurities and increase his socialization and training.

Chowder has never been around cats but enjoys the company of other dogs, especially puppies like himself, even though he can be nervous at first. He is wonderfully crate-trained, often putting himself to bed in the crate before his people even go to sleep and potty trained. He knows basic obedience but can really benefit in further training for leash work, boundaries/structure and socialization.

Chowder is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and heartworm negative. If you are interested in giving Chowder the perfect life, please fill out an application on our website, www.outriderdogsrescue.com/adoption-application.

Thank you for choosing adoption!
Outrider Dogs Rescue
