Chloe's Story

Breed: Mixed breed, best guess is a Dachshund/Terrier mix

DOB: 1/1/2026 (best guess)

Weight: currently 7.5 lbs, should max out at 20 lbs or less.

Likes: Playing with ALL the toys, running in the yard, playing with her foster brother who is the same size, attention from people

Crate trained/House broken: Chloe has been introduced to the crate (a large crate) where she sleeps at night and during the day. She whines initially, but settles into sleep. She does not use the bathroom in her crate and her foster mom takes her out every hour and celebrates a potty outside to work on housebreaking. She is a typical puppy, not housebroken and will need to continue to learn.

Energy level: High. Chloe is all puppy! She plays, plays, and plays. She loves to run in the yard and has not started leash training yet so an adopter should plan to continue basic puppy training including learning to walk on a leash for exercise. Applications should be specific as to how exercise will be provided.

Medical notes: She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adopter is responsible for the remaining puppy vaccines. The cost of her spay surgery is included in the adoption fee.

Notes from foster: Chloe was abandoned and we are unsure of her past. She is happy, healthy puppy that currently lives with other dogs and kids. She is a quick learner and will benefit from ongoing training. She is a high-energy, fast-moving puppy therefore is not a good fit for an adopter looking for a low maintenance or low key dog. She has a wire-haired coat that will require some ongoing maintenance.

If you are interested in giving Chloe the permanent, loving home that she deserves, please fill out an application at the link below to get the ball rolling on a meet and greet.

https://form.jotform.com/202046006590041

If this link doesn't open by clicking on it, just copy and paste it into a new browser.

Adopters must live within a 45 mile radius of Winston-Salem.
