Treats are the quickest way to her heart… though a cozy blanket comes in a close second.<br/><br/>Chloe shares her life with her best friend, Sparky, a 12-year-old neutered Italian Greyhound mix and an absolute gentleman. He walks beautifully on leash, has a calm and gentle nature, and brings a quiet sweetness wherever he goes. Sparky loves his strolls, his snacks, and most of all, staying close to Chloe.<br/><br/>Together, Chloe and Sparky are a bonded pair looking for a forever home where they can spend their golden years just as they deserve—safe, warm, and surrounded by love.<br/><br/>They enjoy:<br/>• Leisurely walks<br/>• Cozy blankets and warm beds<br/>• Snuggling with their people<br/>• Treats and mealtime (they’re very food motivated!)<br/><br/>They are crate trained, though they would much rather be curled up in bed with their humans. Both do best with frequent potty breaks, so a home with a consistent routine or someone home often would suit them beautifully.<br/><br/>Chloe and Sparky are calm, loving seniors who don’t ask for much—just a soft place to land and the comfort of staying together. In return, they offer endless cuddles, quiet companionship, and the kind of love that only comes from grateful hearts.<br/><br/>Chloe and Sparky are currently being fostered in Utah.<br/><br/>The $450 adoption fee is for both dogs, they must be adopted together as a bonded pair.<br/><br/>Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue (RMDR) has foster families in Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. Please check the dogs' location before your apply to adopt them. You will need to pick them up. RMDR DOES NOT TRANSPORT THE DOGS TO YOU or transport them across state lines.<br/><br/>The Colorado Department of Agriculture requires that all dogs entering PACFA-licensed facilities have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days of entry. Dogs over three months of age must also have proof of a current rabies vaccination, including the vaccination date, manufacturer, and serial number listed on the CVI. Puppies must receive parvovirus and distemper vaccinations at least 14 days before entry.<br/><br/>These PACFA requirements may affect the adoption fee.
