Chiquis's Story

YOU MUST APPLY AT https://www.saveourscruff.org/adoption-application TO BE CONSIDERED TO ADOPT CHIQUIS!

Chiquis, is that you under all that fluff? After settling into Toronto for the past few weeks Chiquis has shown us she is a true human companion. She would love a home with people home more often than not, as well as some guidance on working on her alone time.. which is really the best time for naps.

Chiquis lives with a foster that is mostly home, and when they go into work she goes upstairs with relatives for the day. Her ideal day is 3 short walks to do her business then some cuddle time with her people watching tv or sitting by their feet as they do work. Chiquis is not super walk oriented and only wants to do their business and then go inside. But maybe that’s bc they are also a bit nervous of the city noises.

Chiquis is 2 years old and is learning all things. With dogs, she has been fine but also not super interested. She prefers human time. With obedience, she’s learning leash walking & how to go potty outside although is showing progress. All of these areas will need further support by her adopters. She has limited experience with cats or kids but likely will do fine with guidance. She is young, and gets zoomies and is still learning calm greetings. So she may be a lot for an antisocial cat or smaller kids. As we mentioned, guidance is key and would be important for any successful relationships. Please note she will require grooming every 6-8 weeks for the rest of her life which is an additional cost with getting a Poodle!

Note: Chiquis has been groomed since most of the photos were taken. There is 1 before/after shot to show the difference!

Are you ready for a loyal, affectionate and loving girl? Apply today on our website!
