Chippy's Story

Meet Chippy!

Chippy is a really sweet, cuddly dog once he has some time to trust you - which is understandable since he was abandoned on the side of a road in a crate. He loves snuggling on the couch in the evenings and does well on a leash around his foster's yard.

He definitely needs his space in the beginning and, as he's lived in his foster home, has started to really relax and trust as time goes on. He'll need someone patient enough to let him adjust on his terms, which may take a few weeks. He isn't reactive around other dogs, but isn't particularly interested in them, either.

Chippy is potty trained (and let's me know when he needs to go out!) and loves laying in the sun on the deck and sleeping all day while his foster mom works. He doesn't like being crated, but he's been great when he is just left loose in the house - no issues when his foster leaves him alone. He sleeps all night at the foot of her bed. He's just a really chill, easy-going dog once he trusts you and will do well in a home where things are more quiet.

Due to Chippy's timid nature, he is not suitable for a home with children. A home with a yard, where he can putter to his hearts content, will be best for him.

Chippy is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $395

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!

We do not have a public facility for you to visit as all of our animals are placed in foster homes.
