Meet Chief, a winner of a weiner dog looking for a forever home.<br/><br/>Chief has settled in to life in his foster home and he’s now looking to expand his horizons. He currently is fine with coexisting with other dogs but he’s not eager to interact or share with them. Being the star of his new home might be best for Chief.<br/><br/>Some of Chief’s favorite activities include burrowing into blankets, digging in the dirt, and chewing on toys. He’ll occasionally play tug but seems to prefer having his toys to himself.<br/><br/>He does well walking on a leash though he will sometimes just stop when he decides he doesn’t want to walk any further or wants to go a different direction. Luckily he’s a dachshund and easy to move when necessary!<br/><br/>Chief seems to be potty trained but frequent potty breaks are a must. He drinks a lot and he’s a small dog with a proportionally small bladder.<br/><br/>Chief aspires to be a counter surfer. Unfortunately for him he has teeny tiny legs and cannot easily reach kitchen counters or tables of normal height. He’s determined not to let this get in the way of his search for snacks and will jump up on chairs or other objects to get close enough to grab food. He is small but mighty. Mighty hungry.<br/><br/>A fenced in yard would be great for Chief’s forever home. A place to dig (just make sure that fence goes into the ground a bit!) and maybe chase unsuspecting wildlife or balls. Chief does know how to sit when requested but he hasn’t yet mastered any other commands. <br/><br/>If your life has been missing a cylindrical companion, considering applying to meet Chief today.<br/><br/>Chief's adoption fee is $500!
