Chico Chihuahua

Looking for a tiny best friend with a big personality? Meet Chico, a 6-pound Chihuahua who is happiest curled up right beside his favorite person!

Chico absolutely loves people and is always excited to make new human friends. He's playful, affectionate, and enjoys being part of whatever is going on. Despite his small size, he has a big heart and loves soaking up attention!

Chico also enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine companion to play with. True to his Chihuahua roots, though, he may take a little time getting to know new dogs. Once he feels comfortable, his fun-loving personality shines through. He can be a little bossy now and then, but it's all part of his charming, confident nature! Chico has a birth defect that left him blind in one eye but he has no idea! Other than the cosmetic difference, it does not affect him one bit.

Chico is looking for a family that will appreciate his affectionate personality, give him plenty of lap time, and let him be the tiny king he knows he is. If you're ready for a loyal, loving companion with just the right amount of sass, Chico can't wait to meet you!

**This pet is currently being fostered in Corpus Christi, Texas but is available for transport to the destination in which they are listed. The adoption process consists of an application, reference checks, phone interview, and video chat with the pet and foster parent!

The adoption fee of $700 includes spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, DHPP and booster, and Bordatella), microchip with free lifetime registration, deworming, transport, heartworm and flea prevention during the pet's time in our program as well as 2 free months of heartworm and flea prevention to be sent in their adoption packet!

We are volunteers with a passion to reduce the stray population and unnecessary euthanasia in South Texas. According to Shelter Animals Count, an almost 100,000 cats and dogs were euthanized in Texas shelters in 2024. By transporting our adoptable pets to areas with fewer unwanted pets, they have a better chance of quickly finding loving homes, while also freeing up space in Texas shelters and giving more local animals a chance at life.

If you are interested in more information about this pet or our organization, please email us at DreamingOfFurever@gmail.com.
