Meet Chewy!<br/><br/>Chewy is a 3-year-old Aussiedoodle with movie-star looks and a heart of gold. At first glance, he can seem a little shy and reserved, but give him a few gentle scratches and you'll quickly be rewarded with soft tail wags, a happy smile, and a loyal shadow who just wants to be near his people.<br/><br/>While Chewy does have a playful side, he's not the type to burst into a room demanding attention. Instead, he's more of an easygoing, go-with-the-flow kind of guy. Give him about 20 minutes with other dogs, and you'll start to see his goofy, fun-loving personality emerge as he joins in the games and romps around with his canine friends. As much as he enjoys other dogs, it's human companionship that truly makes him happiest.<br/><br/>Chewy walks beautifully on a loose leash, rides wonderfully in the car, and is typically a very quiet dog. He's crate trained and working on potty training, but he's doing really, really good with his transitions. He's great with both dogs and cats and has done well with everyone he's met so far. He's also a grooming superstar! While he'd prefer you skip the blow dryer directly on his face, he handles bathing, brushing, shaving, and grooming appointments like a gentleman.<br/><br/>One of our favorite things about Chewy is his sweet, gentle nature. He occasionally feels the need to "protect" his girlfriend from other male dogs trying to win her attention and may offer a bark or two to make sure everyone knows she's spoken for. But don't worryit's all for show. Within moments, he's forgotten all about being her bodyguard and is happily playing with the very dogs he was warning away.<br/><br/>Chewy came to us from a neglect situation and is still healing from the effects of a severe flea infestation. He has a few small scabs that are continuing to heal, but otherwise he has a clean bill of health and is more than ready to find the loving family he deserves.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a stunning, gentle, affectionate companion who will happily spend his days by your side, Chewy may be the perfect match. His forever family is going to be incredibly lucky to call him their own.<br/><br/>Chewy will come with a collar, leash, two food bowls, some food, a toy, and a dog bed if needed. His tax-deductible adoption fee is $800, which not only helps cover the care he has received but also allows us to continue rescuing and helping other dogs in need.
