Chewy's Story
**Chewy** 🐾

Meet Chewy, a sweet, calm, low-key twelve-year-old who weighs eight pounds! He's independent and low energy — a perfect match for anyone looking for a laid-back companion. He can be a little apprehensive in new situations at first, but warms up quickly.

Chewy is good with adults and new people, and he's great with other dogs too — he greets them politely and is happy to let new pups sniff him out on walks. He's quiet and content being left alone, and his easygoing nature means he's likely to be relaxed around guests as well.

He's potty trained, crate trained, and excellent on a leash — no pulling, just a loose, easy walk by your side. His days are simple and sweet: a few short walks, naps in between, and following his people around the house (especially if food's involved!). He hasn't shown much interest in toys, but he's perfectly content just lounging near the people he loves.

Chewy would thrive in a calm household with an adopter looking for a lower-energy companion — he adapts well to just about any living situation, whether as an only dog or alongside another pup, and he's a great fit for apartment living. All he really needs is a soft place to land and a little quiet companionship.

**What his foster says about him:**
"Chewy is such an amazing dog! He's so chill and easygoing and doesn't require much except companionship and a soft bed. He's also the perfect size to tote around, and is super quiet so he would make an amazing brunch buddy."

**INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?**
To adopt apply on our website [www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt](https://www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt) and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue.
