Hi folks! My name is Chewy and I am about 2 years old. My great big underbite and excessive whole body happy wiggles will surely bring a smile to your face. At 21 pounds I’d fit perfectly in your lap (Just sayin’.) If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly couch potato of a best friend, I am definitely your guy!

I am housebroken, I do well home alone so I don’t need a crate, and I love to be around people. Although, if I’m being honest, I do prefer lady humans. I’ll warm up to men, but I need to go slow with them. In fact, I need to go a little slow with all strangers who approach the people I care about so much. But once I realize that you just want to give me belly scratches (those are the BEST) then I’ll melt into a happy puddle for you.

Sometimes I can be a little wary of other dogs when I’m out for a walk with my humans too, but I can be easily redirected. My foster family is working on teaching me to be calm on the leash, and since I’m such a smart boy I’m doing well! I also love to play with toys, although sometimes I don’t like to share them with my furry foster siblings. I also love to be in the yard and chase squirrels – but I hope you have a secure fence because I am a master escape artist. I can’t help it, there are just too many smells to smell out there!

I know that I can be the absolute goodest boy, especially if I can find a family who is willing to work with me to build my confidence and make me feel safe. In return, I’ll be the best intergalactic co-pilot you could ask for! May the force be with you to fill out an application today!!
