Bannock Humane Society is helping to find a home for a found dog. The woman who found him provided the following details:<br/><br/>“This is Chevy, he was found almost 2 months ago up in the Big Springs/Toponce area. I have looked endlessly for his owners and at this point have to assume he was dumped. I don't understand that because he is the bestest boy.<br/><br/>I am convinced Chevy was/is a farm dog. He has the behaviors of one, and he loves to be outside! He also loves to cuddle and is good indoors. He is just a great boy all around. <br/>He is dog friendly, does good with kids and people as long as he isn't swarmed on a meet. I have tested him with my grandkids. <br/><br/>Chevy is about 5 years old, neutered, and he just had his shots so he is fully vetted. <br/>He does need a bath, which I haven't tried yet but he loves the rain and sprinkler. <br/>He also needs a good brushing which he allows me to do in short amounts of time. <br/><br/>He is potty trained, I have not been able to get a collar on him, he is absolutely terrified of one and I am not sure if he has past trauma from one or just doesn't know what it is that drives his fear, because of this I haven't been able to leash test him. Chevy has great recall and is very obedient, he follows commands and has definitely been trained by his previous owner's. He lays at the gate and waits for me to come home and is the happiest boy ever. <br/><br/>Yes, he's happy with me and loved but; I feel he deserves more, he needs to be doing what he loves and I really feel that is farmlife. I think he needs land to run on and an owner to hang out with on a four wheeler and farm or ranch. <br/><br/>I will only place him in the perfect home which means I need to do a meet and greet, property check and there is a small rehoming fee. This fee will help my next foster receive vet care and cover the cost of his vet care I had done.”<br/><br/>If you know someone or feel that you are the perfect home for Chevy, please submit an inquiry and we’ll contact his caretaker.
