Chester #7341's Story
Our sweet Chester...
Mandi has taken her trip over the rainbow bridge, leaving behind her bonded fur sibling Chester. Chester is heartbroken, grieving and confused, and truly on his own for the first time in his life. This sweet boy has now moved into a wonderful foster home, where he's getting gentle care and time to decompress but he still urgently needs a forever family with an established, confident dog who can help him feel secure again.

We remain deeply committed to finding Chester the stability he deserves, and we have a fabulous update from his foster mom:

"He's really made some huge progress. He's a really sweet, well mannered boy. Very happy and go with the flow and gets along with our cat. Crates easily, no accidents, the barking has subsided, respects a leash, he just wants to snuggle and be next to you, even comes when called ... I could go on and on. He will make a lovely companion for someone!"

Chester is a loving Golden mix, about 1.5 years old, and is a peopleoriented boy who checks in often, seeks reassurance, and thrives on human connection. He enjoys toys, chew items, and is slowly settling into foster care. He'll benefit from continued training and confidencebuilding, especially around new people and other dogs, as he can become reactive when nervous or overstimulated. With patience, structure, and a calm canine companion, Chester has every chance to heal.

Chester's ideal home includes:

A confident, established dog to guide him

Gentle structure and reassurance

A patient adopter who understands grief in dogs

He deserves stability, comfort, and a family who can help him rebuild his world.

Chester deserves stability, comfort, and a family who will help him feel safe again. A home with a secure aboveground fenced yard and a confident dog friend would be ideal for helping him settle and regain trust in the world. Chester is cratetrained, pottytrained, and gets along with other dogs. He is gentle, sensitive, and so ready for someone to show him that love is still waiting for him.

If you can open your home to this boy, please consider giving Chester the safe, loving future he deserves.

Please apply at www.grrand.org/adopt
