Chester #7341's Story

Chester is a 1 year old, male Golden mix who is on the smaller side, (about 40 lbs) who was dumped with his BFF Mandi on the side of the road. They were picked up by a concerned dog lover and they contacted GRRAND. They are to be adopted together as they are all eachother has known and they love eachother and give eachother comfort.

We are happy to report they are in a foster home and they have told GRRAND:

"These two are settling into foster care and showing off their personalities more every day!

Mandi is a sweet, calm, independent girl who is house trained, great on a leash, and absolutely adorable. Her foster says she's the kind of soft, cuddly dog little girls dream about. She enjoys exploring the yard, watching wildlife, and relaxing nearby. She's also a clever little escape artist, so she'll need a secure setup and someone committed to supervising outdoor time.

Chester is a loving, people-oriented boy who wants to please and is always checking in with his humans. He loves attention, enjoys toys and chew items, and is making progress in foster care. Chester would benefit from continued training and confidence-building, especially around new people and other dogs, as he can become reactive when nervous or overstimulated.

Both dogs are continuing to decompress and learn routines in foster care, and they're making progress every week. They would thrive with patient adopters willing to continue helping them build confidence and settle into home life."

Our GRRAND volunteer says: "Mandi always has a "grin" on her happy face and is a sweet little good busy body. She loves to sniff, walk, and play...but she won't jump up on you and let's you study her from a distance but will then come up to you for snuggles. And Chester is a very handsome, small golden mix. Chester is a little hesitant upon meeting new people but he warms up quickly. Chester loves to walk, run, and sniff outdoors."

They are crate-trained and potty-trained and we are told they get along with other dogs, and are great calm, sweet dogs together so if you would like to meet them, or foster them to get them out of the kennel, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org
