Up for adoption Chester. Chester is a very special boy. He is about 2 years old, he is up to date on shots, chipped, and fixed. He is located in Sheridan or. He is in need of a groom and we will get that scheduled. He is a special case. He was placed in a shelter where he was very scared and was not able to adjust. He has extreme stranger danger and does not meet new people well. Once he knows you he gets so excited to see you, take you on walks and play with you. He is scared of other dogs. We think maybe he was a single dog and going into a over full shelter just was too much for his brain. He especially does not enjoy barky dogs. He is about 18 pounds and we have not had a dog as big as him until recently to work with him on this issue. With the trainer he is making gains in very short sessions but the trainer only comes out once a week and has missed some time. Each of our team is able to handle and walk Chester. He is a big love with us, but we know he is going to need a special home that will be very understanding and will allow him to learn and be safe in his home. If a home is found local to Salem we would love to hire our trainer to work with Chester and his new family. Chester would love to find a home for Christmas. He is spending too much time alone and is depressed. He loves so much to play with his toys, he loves his walks, he loves the people he knows. We think he is going to warm up to Glitter Sparkle Pants as she heals and gets up to visiting with him. He was most likely an only dog or was locked in a kennel with out social skill opportunities.
