CHERRY's Story

IF YOU LIKE FUNNY LOOKS AND TONS OF PERSONALITY....

...Cherry is your girl.

This poor girl showed up with her Frenchie friend, after running up and down a very busy road, most likely hoping who ever booted them out, was coming back.

She had a very badly injured front leg that we would later find out, was actually an older shoulder injury that destroyed the nerves there, so all she could do was drag that useless limb, causing it to become very scraped up and loaded with infection. She also had a prominent cherry eye, which landed her, her name. Yeah, we are not real proud of that one but sometimes when you rush a dog to the vet before you have a name picked out, you just come up with one you are not real happy with BUT, she knows her name now and the cherry eye is gone, along with her useless right front leg and this amazingly happy and courageous girl has NEVER looked back. Not once.

Looking for a fun happy dog that never has a bad day? A dog that will play when it’s time then snuggle when it’s time? A dog that loves other dogs, toys, meal and treat time and is good on a leash, a good traveler and has a fairly shed free coat? Do you like em’ smaller but sturdy? Funny but smart? Impossibly positive and unsinkably outgoing? Cherry has all those traits and more. She is crate trained, housebroken and always ready for adventure.

If you asked Cherry about her perfect home, she would ask for a family, some other happy playful dogs and lots of toys and treats, so she is not too hard to please. Her missing leg has never slowed her down and her crazy wired hair coat just needs a quick weewkly once over a slicker or wire brush.

We think Cherry is at least part Frenchie because she was traveling with one and makes ALL the noises. She also has the gregarious, life loving personality of one and the attitude that life is to be lived in the most fun way possible. There is also some type of terrier going on, which gives her a scruffy adorable appearance and then there is that smile and boy does she love to smile.
We think Cherry is about 4 years old, she weighs 20lbs and was probably part of a crappy breeding program, like her Frenchie friend, until her injury and her eye, made her undesirable and costly. Whatever her past held for her, she has not let it get her down. No way. She is impossibly happy and always ready for whatever the day brings be it visits to the coffee shop or a good long rainy day snuggle party.

If you would like to meet this wonderful little girl, please go to our website at www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org/adoption and get that application submitted. Cherry has put her past behind her and is ready for a future filled with happy times, daily snuggles, lots of toys, treats and fun and someone to share it with.

Cherry is spayed, up to date on five way, bordatella and rabies vaccines, fecal checked and treated for intestinal parasites, flea and tick free, microchipped and ready for fun.

Adoption fee is $350

PLEASE NOTE*:

* We require notes from certified doctors when
requesting a dog as an ESA
*Inquiries submitted through Petfinder, are not the
same as applications submitted through our webpage.
*Yes we do out of state adoptions.
*No, we do not transport. You must be willing to come
and meet the dog and take it home with you.
*Yes we do Canadian adoptions.
*If the dog is on Petfinder, it is still available.
*You must be 18 years of age to adopt
*If you submit questions about an adoptable dog,
covered in the Petfinder bio, we will not respond.
*We do not pick the first good application. All Mutts Great and Small's Adoption Policy
We believe there are many different ways to be a successful dog owner. It is our intent to broaden the idea of happy dog/person relationships to go beyond the traditional. Our goal is to place people and dogs together with the intent being compatibility. We know these dogs and we want to match them with the person who will provide them with the best possible life. One they would have chosen themselves had they been able too. We do NOT have a standard list of "must haves", preferring to match dog with adopter. www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org
