She was very hungry and sick with ehrlichia. Cherry and her puppies were immediately taken to a veterinarian, where they received the care they desperately needed, and were then placed in a loving foster home. <br/>Her puppies have all grown, and most have found their forever families.<br/><br/>Now, it’s Cherry’s turn to be chosen.<br/><br/>About Cherry:<br/>Cherry is a sweet, gentle, calm, and affectionate girl. She is easygoing, obedient, and well-behaved. Because of her past, she can be shy and fearful in new environments and around new people, and she needs a little time to build trust. Once she feels safe, her loving and loyal personality truly shines. <br/>She would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell and feel secure.<br/><br/>Dog-Friendly:<br/>Cherry gets along well with other dogs and seems to prefer male dogs.<br/><br/>Cherry has given so much in her life—as a mother, a survivor, and a loving soul.
