Cherry has been with her foster family for a few months now and has been blossoming and enjoying life! All of her babies have grown up and found their own homes and it has become very apparent just how young Cherry is herself yet. The vet estimates she is about a year old and at around 25 lbs, she is the perfect size! Her breed is unknown, but she has the cutest scruff on her chin, beautiful, short, sandy colored hair, and the sweetest round doe eyes that will win over your heart!
Cherry is an energetic, playful, peppy girl, who thrives on consistent, daily exercise. She LOVES going on walks and gets so excited when she sees her harness and leash. She walks really well on her harness and loves to sniff and check things out. She also loves to play outside and is pretty good at fetching toys! However, she is not trust-worthy off leash and will chase small prey outside whenever given the chance. She does live with cats inside though and respects their space!
Cherry LOVES other dogs and her ideal family must have another dog to play with. She really gains confidence from their presence and will follow their cues. Size doesn't matter as she currently lives with other dogs ranging from 12-140 lbs. Cherry would do best in a home without young children as she is easily startled by sudden movements and loud noises. Older children that can understand that she is still gaining confidence and security would be fine. After a full day of exercise, playtime, and mental simulation, Cherry is the perfect cuddle buddy to curl up with you on the couch! She loves sitting on laps and being as close to you as possible.
Cherry is housetrained and enjoys chewing on bones in her crate. She is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped. If you can provide this sweetheart with a forever home full of security and love so she can continue to blossom, please apply today!

Meet Cherry! This precious girl has just finished raising her adorable pups and is ready to start her life with her new family! Cherry comes from a rural area, where she was kept in a cold barn with her very young babies. Thankfully, they were rescued and made their way to FFN where they have stolen the hearts of their foster family. Cherry is a 1-2 year old terrier mix who weighs 24 lbs. She has a lovely sandy colored short coat, with the most endearing black scruff on her muzzle. Her most adorable feature is her round eyes that increasingly show trust and love as she gets more and more comfortable with her foster family.
Cherry loves other dogs - she lives with multiple other dogs ranging from 12-140 lbs. She can frequently be seen hanging out with the other dogs - chasing them, being chased, sharing toys, or even just cuddling and laying her head on them as they nap together. A home with another dog is a must as they help Cherry find the confidence she needs. Cherry is also good with cats and sleeps in a crate in the same bedroom as one of the resident cats. She is learning to ignore his food and litter box and respect his space!
Cherry loves people and has made great strides in learning to trust that everyone loves her! She can be a bit startled by sudden movements from men and small, active children, but once she knows they're not going to hurt her, she is fine and will jump right up on anyone's laps, loves to cuddle, and frequently seeks attention. She loves to be a part of the activity of the house and is no couch potato. She is a young, energetic, peppy girl who would love a home that takes her on frequent outings, walks, and has plenty of time to play. Cherry is doing well with housetraining, is crate trained, and sleeps through the night.
