Cher Chihuahua & Miniature Dachshund Mix Fond Du Lac, WI

Welcome Cher to Lucky Dog Small Breed Rescue!!! Cher is a 3yr old Chihuahua/ dachshund mix weighing 10lbs. Cher recently arrived from our Texas shelter partner that rescued her from a life that kept her crated all the time. She was found in her crate with all her deceased puppies and her puppy daddy suffering from heartworm disease. They were removed from the home and bound for a better life in Wisconsin. Since arriving in her foster home Cher has been doing very well. She tends to hover toward the crates that are left open for her protection and it’s what she knows. When approached she does love to be petted and is easily picked up. She will sit with her foster mom and willing to sit for quite some time. Petting is very much enjoyed and with time will become her new way of life. She is a very sweet girl that just needs a chance and a very loving home. Cher is crate trained and does very well with other dogs, cats and kids. She finds comfort in having an open crate to go relax in. Leashes are new to her but she is learning very quickly. She isnt so sure about all this snow stuff but will get used to it. Cher is not a barker so any home, apartment or condo would be a perfect fit for her. Cher’s adoption fee includes her trip up from Texas, all vaccinations (dhlpp, rabies and bordetella), microchip with lifetime registration to the rescue, 4dx test heartworm and 3 tick borne illnesses, flea/tick prevention,spay, full health exam, health certificate, deworming, collar, harness, leash, 6 months of heartworm prevention and premium dog food to get her started in her new home.
