Once your application is approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Cheeto.

Cheeto is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.

Meet Cheeto!

Cheeto is a 2 year old male chihuahua / min pin mix who currently weighs 25 pounds. Cheeto was found as a stray and taken in by a good samaritan. She reached out to us for help with finding Cheeto a home and we agreed to bring him into our program. Cheeto is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and ready to find his forever home.

Cheeto is dog friendly and currently lives with other dogs! He would LOVE an energetic playmate who will run and play with him. We would say that he has a moderate energy level. He will run and play in the yard and then come inside and snuggle up next to you.

Cheeto has not been tested with cats, so we're not sure how he would react towards them.

Cheeto is kid friendly! He's been around children ages 7-14 years and he's always great with kids!

Cheeto is great on the leash! He will walk calmly by your side. He enjoys stopping to smell the roses. He does get excited when he sees a squirrel, but what little dog doesn't?!

Cheeto is fully potty trained and uses the doggie door to go potty outside as he needs to. Cheeto isn't a huge fun of the crate. He is able to be left alone to free roam and he just hangs out with his foster siblings.

Cheeto is great about sharing his food, toys and treats with his doggie foster siblings. He eats right next to his foster brother with no issues.

Here's a small blurb about Cheeto from his foster mom:

Cheeto is so incredibly loving and such a sweet boy! He listens well, plays great with other dogs and is overall just a joy to foster. Cheeto would make for a great adventure buddy! He enjoys running, playing and going on daily walks. Cheeto makes fast friends with other dogs. We think he would really enjoy having a dog friend in his forever home. His current best friend is a german shepherd that weighs 70 pounds :) Cheeto does well in the car and will just sit in the backseat and look out the window. He also enjoys cuddling, so he hopes that after all your adventures, you're up for some couch cuddles!

If you're interested in learning more about Cheeto or applying to adopt him, please fill out our adoption application below and a volunteer will reach out to schedule a virtual meet & greet.

https://heartoftheunderdog.org/adoption-application
