Cheddar's Story

Cheddar
Breed : Dachshund/ Basset mixed breed
Weight: 34lbs.
Age: 11 months

Meet Cheddar
Breed: Basset / Dachshund mix… or as we like to call it, the Low-Rider Variety Pack. With those short, stubby legs, it’s anyone’s guess what ingredients went into this recipe, but whatever the mix is, the result is absolutely delicious.

If dogs came with flavor labels, Cheddar would be the classic kind. The one everyone reaches for first. The one that somehow makes everything better.

Cheddar is a family favorite in the making. She’s great with kids, great with other dogs, and generally believes the world is full of potential friends who just haven’t met her yet. She’s the perfect balance of playful sidekick and professional snuggle queen.

Toys are her absolute weakness. Toss one and she’ll happily bounce around like a tiny, wiggly loaf of joy. When playtime is over, she transforms into a cuddle expert who believes laps were invented specifically for her.

Cheddar would love a home with another furry friend to share the fun with. A built-in playmate makes life even better. That said, she would also accept a position as the only dog in the household… provided it comes with generous benefits such as attention, adventures, and a human willing to hand out belly rubs on demand.

Short legs. Big personality. Crowd-pleasing charm.

Just like the cheese, Cheddar goes with everything. All she’s missing is her forever home.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful animals, we ask that you please fill out our online application: https://form.jotform.com/223268341300041

We are a 100% volunteer organization and have to work other jobs to pay the bills. Please give us up to 48 hours to respond.

Submission of an adoption application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee approval. We look forward to hearing from you.

Please note all animals in the home must be altered, up to date on vaccines, and be on heartworm prevention. We understand there are some special cases and will take those into consideration.
