Cheddar's Story
Sweet Cheddar, a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix, had been adopted to a loving home in 2022 and came back to Paw Parent in May of 2026. His person had passed away and he had nowhere to go, so we got called and of course welcomed him back with open arms.
He originally was rescued from a hoarding situation and wound up in the Rancho Cucamonga shelter from where we rescued him in 2021. He is very shy and gets scared easily. He will need an experienced dog person with patience. Once he trusts he enjoys to be petty and cuddled. He's now about 9 years old and weighs 15 pounds.
Cheddar responds to well to a soft, calm environment and gets along with all dogs and loves to hang out with them.
He does have a genetic skin disorder that leaves the back patches on his body bald. We had him checked out by our vet and a blood test was taken, but nothing unusual showed up, so it was determined that the baldness stems from a genetic disorder. It doesn't bother him and Thank God it is black so he can't get a sunburn. He is the sweetest thing and would love to be in a loving home agan.
Cheddar is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all routine vaccinations. If you would like to meet him please contact us at pawparent@gmail.com
