Meet Cheddar, a 4 month old red merle Catahoula mix whos already tipping the scales at 36 pounds and still has plenty of growing to do.<br/><br/>Cheddar is a fun, happy puppy whos equal parts goofy buddy, affectionate companion, and adventure partner. Hes active, curious, smart, and always looking for something to do. He loves being outside, whether thats splashing in water, rolling in the mud, or stretching out for a good sunbath. When hes ready to play, hes all in. When hes tired, hes just as happy to curl up next to you for a nap.<br/><br/>Hes a social guy who gets along well with other dogs and enjoys meeting new people. Hed likely love a home with another playful dog, but hed also do well with an active family thats ready for all the fun (and occasional chaos) that comes with raising a puppy.<br/><br/>Cheddar is food motivated and already knows sit. Hes picking up potty training quickly, and when he does have an accident, he usually makes it to a potty pad. Like any young puppy, hes still learning what belongs to him. Shoes are currently at the top of his favorites list, and for reasons only Cheddar understands, hes declared war on the outdoor patio cushions. So far, the cushions are losing.<br/><br/>Hes still working on being comfortable in a kennel for longer periods, but hes been doing well with supervised free roaming when left home alone.<br/><br/>Cheddar is looking for a family thats ready for a big puppy with a big personality. Hell need continued training, plenty of exercise, and lots of appropriate things to chew. If youre ready for an active puppy now, youll end up with a loyal companion for years to come.<br/><br/>Cheddars adoption fee is $575.<br/><br/>He is vet checked healthy, neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, fecal tested, and current on monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention.<br/><br/>His adoption fee helps cover the cost of veterinary care, grooming, training, socialization, and supplies while hes in rescue.
