As part of our *Spay and Release* program, her pregnancy was humanely interrupted for her safety — she was simply too weak to continue. She’s now recovering from her spay surgery and resting, but her future remains uncertain.<br/><br/>Chata is suspected to have *Ehrlichia*, a tick-borne disease that’s treatable but requires specific medication. Sadly, as part of the *Spay and Release* initiative, only sterilization costs are covered.
