Chase

Chase is a gorgeous standard size rat terrier picked up as a stray in northern California. He is about 18 months old and 16" tall at the shoulder with long legs (as you can see in the photos).<br/>Chase loves everyone he meets, including most dogs as long as they are friendly. He still pulls with excitement sometimes on leash and would benefit from a starter obedience class in his new home. He adores new people, old people and kids but might be too bouncy for young children.<br/>Chase has been house trained and is house safe in his current foster home, but we do advise a belly band in a new house for a few days until he gets used to things. He rides well in the car - loose for short distances and crated for longer trips. He will crate politely at home also.<br/>Chase would love a home with active adults - hiking, dog sports - and another friendly dog to play with. Secure fencing is a given. This boy has an amazing future ahead of him with the right folks - agility, nose work, barn hunt, NASDA, he would excel at any of these activities.<br/>Chase alternates between Boise and Newport, Oregon, in his foster home, but transport can be arranged anywhere in the PNW for the right family. His adoption fee is $200.
