Meet Charming

Thank you to Christine for the update and pictures of Charming:
He was so excited to see me. Maybe he thinks “this is the lady that gives me hamburgers? Only yesterday I got him a vanilla cone from McD’s. He loved it. I had to pace him because he would have taken it all in one bite! He is VERY good when being hand fed, very gentle. Yesterday we went on the greenbelt over by Riverside RV park. Not a lot of people so that was nice. We went down to the water but all he wanted to do was get a drink. Charming starts out strong , but then settles into a nice stride. He did fine on a short leash. He will pull when he sees something. He first went after a snake crossing the path. Ummm, YUCK! but we never got close enough. Charming has a gorgeous coat and is all muscle. When we are driving he sits in the front seat, lays down and places his head in between my center console and gear shift. He closes his eyes and gets lots of love. He even posed on a rock for me! Very good at listening.

BBBR Volunteer Christine says:
Upon my arrival to Good Citizen Doggie
Daycare, Robbie opened the door and behind the gates are all these doggies just hanging out like a gang…all wagging their tails wondering who this lady is here to pick up. When Robbie called out Charming, this sweet boy came right up to the front and said “me, me, me!” He warmed up to me right away and was all too eager to jump in the back of my SUV. He really wanted to be in the passenger seat (or drive) but I had boxes up front, so he was denied.

Instead he stuck his sweet head out the window and loved to look all around. When we arrived at the park, there were plenty of geese and ducks around and he was as far out the window as he could get checking them out.

We stopped off for a puppachino and he was very gentle.

CHARMING certainly lives up to his namesake. He has also been called a “real sweetheart” and “adorable.”

CHARMING is a 3 year old, 66 pound youngster who has had a bad start in life and was never really able to be a puppy. He was found as a stray, starving, with whip marks on his body. He was taken in by the Pioneer Humane Society in Pendleton, OR before coming to Boise Bully Breed Rescue.

This handsome fella is a calm, gentle, loving pup who is not used to all this volunteer attention, so it might take a minute to warm up to you. Within a few minutes though, it is easy to get him going for a walk or playtime. He needs some leash training, but it is just because he is so excited to go for a walk!

He rides well in car, just lays down. He sits for a yummy treat or toy and is playful. He loves to play tug and responds to squeaky toys but we are not sure if he is a fan of going into the water just yet.

Here’s the best part…CHARMING is good with other dogs and has been enjoying doggy playgroups at Good Citizen Dog Boise. The rescue will cover the cost of any additional training at Good Citizen Dog Boise.

He will be make such a great pet for the right family! No small children due to his activity level. He does great with 10 and up.
