Charlie's Story
Charlie is a young schnauzer terrier mix. He is a happy boy who loves all other creatures including dogs of all sizes, cats and chickens. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and will cover you with kisses and happy squeaks. He can be nervous when meeting new people but will quickly warm up when he finds out you’re on his side. He is good with older children.

He loves being outside or lounging or snuggling on the couch with you. Short hikes are super fun for him. He also loves car rides but can sometimes get an upset stomach if it’s a longer ride. Toys, toys, toys! Something hard to chew on is his favorite along with stuffed animals to violently shake. He is very smart and learned “sit” and “down” in minutes.

Charlie is crate trained and working on his house training skills. He can be a bit possessive of his owners. And Charlie knows how to use his voice.

He would do well with a family or single person, with a dog friend to show him the ropes, or without. He needs someone who realizes he is a puppy and still learning. With patience and time he is going to be the perfect doggy companion.

Charlie has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped.

If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please complete an application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt).
