Charlie's Story

At 100 lbs. Charlie is one big dude full of love. He was rescued from Los Angeles shelter SEAACA, with his friend Rebecca (female fawn pittie) on their last day before being euthanized. That was their lucky day. To be honest, Charlie's a hot mess. He's in foster now, on a ranch property in Ramona, CA, but he has been living in their garage when he's not out in the yard and that makes him anxious. He wants to be with people so much, and that's when he's happiest. He likes other dogs, hates horses. He's always up for an adventure, but he's got some arthritis starting (he's estimated to be about 6 years old) that he's on medication for, so he's not a jogger's dog. He'd love a home where he can hang out with someone, maybe even go to work. His foster has kids, and he's great with them. His friend Rebecca is with him still, but they can be separated. <br/>Charlie is an awesome hunk of love, who will make the right person really happy to have him as their buddy

Kennels 2 Couches's Adoption Policy
I screen each applicant not only for the best fit for the animal, but the best fit for them. Adoption returns are best avoided if possible, and a successful matching is part of that process. I consider the applicant's background and familiarity with animals, and animals such as the one they are considering. I consider their home environment and if it will be a good match for the animal. I consider their personal philosophy about animals, and how they propose to care for the animal and what their lifestyle is and what an average day would be like for the animal if in their care. I also watch the animal to see how the animal interacts with the person and if there is a connection or not.
