Charlie is a good boy. He has a lot going for him!!

Charlie really doesn't have any strikes against him. But there are a few NO-NO'S for Charlie... he is a high-energy herding breed and NOT appropriate for the very young children he lives with. He hasn't done anything wrong but the family is wisely identifying the problems BEFORE they escalate (which they WILL once the children walk and run). Charlie is also not good around cats and small animals. Those are his limitations and we can respect that. He is currently living with two children (under 2) and needs to be rehomed or taken into a reputable rescue. Our rescue has no available foster homes... but what we CAN do is share Charlie's story.

We can also assist by screening potential adoptive families and representing Charlie through our adoption search engines. We offer Charlie an "umbrella" of sorts. This is a bit of a "post script rant" but it needs to be said...

It's always so important, when properly placing a dog, to not set the dog up for failure. And most importantly... keep everyone SAFE. It is for this reason that we embrace surrendering owners. It is not our place to disparage them. We exist in the utilitarian capacity of HELPING THE ANIMAL. We cannot and do not serve the animals if we waste our time and energy pointing fingers and shaming owners. We want to fully support that animal in their important next step. And we must all be on the #sameteam if we are to accomplish that.
