-Additional Information: Charli Man is a super sweet gentleman who's a little unsure of new situations. He would thrive in a home that is in the county without any neighboring animals. He can be very reactive around other animals, especially other dogs, and would benefit from having an owner that is experienced with reactive dogs. It may take him a while to warm up in his new home, but with plenty of patience, treats, and encouragement we think Charli Man will thrive. Once he's decided you're safe, Charli is a very affectionate boy. It's likely he will bond strongly to his person and be a wonderful companion for years to come. Like any nervous dog, Charli would benefit greatly from stability, a predictable routine, and consistent positive reinforcement training. His new owners will need to be willing to give him everything he needs to help him succeed. If you'd like to meet Charli Man, the first step is filling out an adoption application. Applications will be reviewed to ensure it's a good match before scheduling an introduction.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
