Meet Chapel!<br/><br/>Chapel is a 2-year-old, 60 lb boy who was found as a stray. He recently got to spend the day away from the shelter, and he was pretty much the definition of an easy dog.<br/><br/>He was calm from start to finish, likely housetrained, and took care of business as soon as he got outside. He rode quietly in the car, loved sniffing around, and was happy to spend the day just taking everything in. He's very treat motivated, already knows sit, and walks beautifully on leash with almost no pulling.<br/><br/>Chapel was also wonderful meeting new people and kids. He never jumped up, leaned in for pets, and happily accepted all the attention he could get. His volunteer said he was especially patient with the kids he met and didn't mind having them around him.<br/><br/>He's shown positive body language around other dogs, too. He can be a little intense when he first sees them, but once he has a moment to process, he loosens up, wags, and has even offered some play bows.<br/><br/>Chapel isn't a high-energy dog looking for constant entertainment. He's a calm, easygoing guy who seems happiest just being around his people. After spending a full day with his volunteer, she admitted she was pretty sad to put him back in his kennel. We get it.<br/><br/>As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.<br/><br/>To meet/adopt, visit us in Greensboro, NC from 12-4pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment needed.
