I am 1.5 years old and weigh 25 pounds. I need a new home because my owner moved and could not take me with. I am being fostered in Colorado Springs, CO.<br/> <br/>I was so happy to be in a house the first time that I jumped up on the couch, pushed my head under my foster mom’s arm so she had it around me and leaned against her ......I’ve been there ever since! I love having someone talk to me and love on me. In my previous home I spent many hours outside.<br/><br/>I need to brush up on my manners. We have been working on that. I sit and am so proud I stick my chest out. I don’t stay though. I thought sitting was enough and I did that. I do jump on you just a little bit. Not as bad as most Bostons though. <br/><br/>I always come when called even when I’d rather not. I love my name and know it well.<br/> <br/>I am learning to play with toys. I love to take them outside and run around with them in my mouth. I am also realizing that it’s fun to play tug with them with my foster sister. I love all the new things I’m seeing in this world. I settled into a routine easily and like the idea of things being the same every day. <br/> <br/>If you tell me No I stop except when I’m kissing you! I understand no and am good about listening to you. I love to curl up after meals on the couch and sleep awhile. My foster mom gives me lots of treats and I love them all but especially the soft chewy ones.<br/> <br/>I love ...running outside and laying in the sun.<br/>I get along with everyone. I was told I don’t get along with dominate males or females, but my foster mom has not seen any aggression towards other dogs. <br/>I need to be with someone that adores me and tells me. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue's Adoption Policy
There is no fee for submitting an application with us. We are not affiliated with any other organization so we do require our application to be submitted in order to be considered. We prefer applications be completed online, We DO adopt to families with fenced in yards or those that live in apartments/condos. MABTR offers a two-week trial period with each adoption to ensure your new dog is a good fit. You only need to complete one application per household, not per dog of interest. MABTR will do our best to help transport any adopted dog within the 13 states we serve. We do not adopt outside of our service area, no exceptions. It may take us up to four days to process your application as we review applications twice a week.
