Chance in CO's Story
The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Chance. I am 1.5 years old and weigh 25 pounds. I need a new home because my owner moved and could not take me with. I am being fostered in Colorado Springs, CO.

I was so happy to be in a house the first time that I jumped up on the couch, pushed my head under my foster mom’s arm so she had it around me and leaned against her ......I’ve been there ever since! I love having someone talk to me and love on me. In my previous home I spent many hours outside.

I need to brush up on my manners. We have been working on that. I sit and am so proud I stick my chest out. I don’t stay though. I thought sitting was enough and I did that. I do jump on you just a little bit. Not as bad as most Bostons though.

I always come when called even when I’d rather not. I love my name and know it well.

I am learning to play with toys. I love to take them outside and run around with them in my mouth. I am also realizing that it’s fun to play tug with them with my foster sister. I love all the new things I’m seeing in this world. I settled into a routine easily and like the idea of things being the same every day.

If you tell me No I stop except when I’m kissing you! I understand no and am good about listening to you. I love to curl up after meals on the couch and sleep awhile. My foster mom gives me lots of treats and I love them all but especially the soft chewy ones.

I love ...running outside and laying in the sun.
I get along with everyone. I was told I don’t get along with dominate males or females, but my foster mom has not seen any aggression towards other dogs.
I need to be with someone that adores me and tells me. I like lots of attention.

Here's a little more about me:
Housetrained? Getting better
Leash-trained?Working on it
Rides well in car? Is perfect in the car.
Good with other dogs? Yes, I live with a Boston and bossy Chihuahua females
Good with cats? Yes, live with one now
Good with young children? Yes but I jump up on people so not a good idea.
Good with strangers? Yes
Shy or confident? A little insecure
Barks? Some
Apartment qualified? No
Any Special needs or Health Issues? No
Adoption Fee? $ 450

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at ''https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing.

MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.

If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application

Petfinder's form is NOT our application.
