Chance F25-009's Story
Contact: Jamie M.

8/4/2025 - Chance is available. He has completed his heartworm treatments and doing well.

His peeing in the house has improved since his neuter. It’s still a good idea to have an eye on him but for the most part, he’s pretty good about not peeing in the house anymore.

He gets along with all dogs, but does get upset if there’s some commotion. I think he would be very good as an only dog or part of a two dog household. He is super affectionate and loves to be right next to me or on me at all times.

4/5/2025 - Age: 6 y/o Wt: 58 lbs. Chance is being treated for heartworms and is on medical hold.

Bio: Chance is very shy and submissive, but friendly with people. He does have spurts of hopping around like a bunny in the yard, but for the most part he is very laid back. He gets along well with dogs of all ages and sizes. He is very much a snuggler and wants to be near his person. He sits next to me while I work all day. He crates very well and prefers to eat his meals in a crate. He is very quiet and does not bark or whine.

Needs Work
He is stubborn about going outside and takes his time to go potty. I think he might have been outside for a long time and is afraid to go outside. He is great about going out in the morning, but every other time it's a struggle. He also pees in the house....a lot. I am hoping this due to being intact, being in a new environment and because he might have spent a lot of time outside. I would not label him as housebroken, but working on it.

EVALUATION HOLD 3/9/2025 - Chance is under our mandatory evaluation period, and is not available for adoption at this time. The foster home will have the opportunity to adopt once the evaluation period is complete. If you would like to be a back-up applicant for Chance, please complete an application at: http://flbr.org/application-form/. Please also take a look at his available boxer friends as we get to know him better.
