Chalupa's Story

Meet the Fiesta Siesta Litter

These spicy little nuggets — Chalupa, Tequila, and Fajita — made their way to us all the way from South Carolina after finding themselves in a shelter due to a skin condition called Demodex. Thankfully, their condition is already being treated and these babies are doing AMAZING!

Demodex (also called demodectic mange) is a non-contagious skin condition caused by microscopic mites that naturally live on dogs. Puppies with immature immune systems can sometimes have trouble keeping the mites under control, which can lead to hair loss, dry skin, and irritation. The good news? It is very treatable, very manageable, and these pups are already responding wonderfully to treatment.

Now that they’re safe in foster care, their biggest concerns in life are snacks, naps, wrestling each other like tiny caffeinated gremlins, and causing general puppy chaos. Typical pitbull mix behavior, honestly.

These pups will be working hard on their potty training and crate training while in foster care. They are social, happy puppies that adore people and do well with other dogs. They would likely do well with cats too, as long as introductions are slow and appropriate.

The Fiesta Siesta crew is looking for forever homes ready for puppy zoomies, puppy kisses, and the occasional “why are you chewing THAT?” moment.

Apply at : www.freedomfirstrescue.com
