Cha-Cha's Story

Some dogs have a way of making everyone smile. Cha Cha is one of them.

Cha Cha is about 12 months old and has been waiting since the middle of May for a family to find him. Around the shelter, hes affectionately known as Chachi, and one look at his happy face will tell you why everyone falls for him so quickly.

One of our favorite things about Cha Cha is his smile. When hes happy, his little bottom teeth peek out, and its about the cutest thing youll ever see. It never fails to make us smile.

Volunteer dog trainer Alyssa describes him perfectly:

If pure joy had four paws, it would be Cha Cha.

This happy, affectionate boy is full of love and puppy enthusiasm. He adores other dogs, lives for zoomies, and is convinced every person he meets is his new best friend.

For such a young dog, Cha Cha is already showing how smart he is. He knows sit and is learning wait and look like a champ. Hes especially fond of Emma, one of our resident helper dogs, who has taken on a motherly role by gently correcting his puppy antics and helping him learn good manners. Cha Cha listens to her guidance, making us think he would thrive in a home with another well mannered dog after slow, thoughtful introductions.

Cha Cha hasnt shown much interest in cats while at the shelter, but as with any new pet, slow introductions are always the best way to help everyone adjust.

Life with Cha Cha means more laughter, more smiles, and a daily reminder to enjoy the little things.
