Cerberus's Story

Meet Cerberus!

Cerberus is a sweet standard Dachshund mix who came to the shelter frightened, overwhelmed, and with plenty of spunk to show us! She had a lot to say about the changes in her life, but with some time, patience, and reassurance, she has settled down and is showing us the sweet girl underneath it all.

Now, Cerberus is ready for a home where life is easy, peaceful, and predictable — a place where she can finally feel safe and secure.

She has done well with the dogs she has met here at the shelter, but she would likely be happiest with laid-back canine companions who won’t overwhelm her. Calm kitties and older, respectful children would also be a great fit for this girl.

At heart, Cerberus is really just looking for the simple things in life: a cozy spot, a loving person, and a lap to curl up in while she watches the world go by.

She doesn’t need a busy or chaotic household. She wants an easygoing home where she can relax, build confidence, and enjoy all the little comforts she may have been missing.

Cerberus has done the hard part — she’s learned that she can feel safe and let her guard down. Now she just needs someone to give her the peaceful, loving home she’s been waiting for.

If your idea of the perfect dog is one who wants to curl up in your lap and simply enjoy the easy life, Cerberus may be your girl.
