Cedar's Story

PLEASE NOTE: WE CHECK VET REFERENCES.

Cedar is a very special boy to us at at St. Louis Senior Dog Project. He is one of our long time fosters and all of us that have spent time with him have fallen in love with him. He is approximately 7 years old, 60 lbs, and is loyal, smart (SO smart), playful, friendly, and fun!

Cedar loves people and likes other dogs with multiple, proper introductions. He is not good with small animals (dogs included).

Cedar LOVES people, car rides (he is very vocal on car rides and does require being contained), walks, and snuggling. He has been in foster with Rugby and they have become besties who love to walk, wrestle, and hang out on the couch together. Cedar is also a talker and vocalizes his feelings about most things in his life (including play time!). Because of this we think he would do best in a home where he does not share walls.

Cedar is a very strong boy and does pull on walks. He has been working on his walking skills, but will still lunge randomly towards vehicles or other dogs. Cedar needs a strong handler that can walk him safely. Cedar does have strong herding instincts and would not do well with young children and will herd other dogs in the household.

If you're interested in meeting Cedar, please review our adoption process and submit our dog adoption application at www.stlsdp.org
