Catfish's Story

Catfish is an adorable little low rider guy rescued out of a California shelter. His stumpy little legs made our hearts go pitter-patter. He's just the cutest.

- 12 pounds on 1/15/26 and approximate date of birth is 9/18/25. He's about 4 months old. We think Catfish will be 25- 30 pounds full grown but cannot guarantee size at maturity.

- Breed mix is anyone's best guess! He looks like a Dachshund/German Shepherd mix if we were placing bets.

- Bubbly, friendly little guy who is gregarious and social!

- Fostered with many other dogs and a cat and gets along well with everyone.

- Crate trained and does well sleeping in his crate overnight.

- Doing excellent with his potty habits and holds his potty in his crate at night too.

- Loves toys and to play tug!

- Nice medium energy for a puppy. He could plug in happily to most households and be successful.

Catfish is vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery when he is 6 months to 1 year old at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Milwaukie or SW Portland. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland.

$450 adoption fee

Fostered in Vancouver, Washington

APPLY TO ADOPT CATFISH ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

We are volunteer run and most of us work a normal day job and do rescue work in our free time. 2. If your application seems like a good match for the dog you are applying to adopt, we will call you to talk more about the dog you're interested in. 3. We provide you the foster home's contact information and you set up a time to go and visit the dog you're interested in. 4. If you decide to proceed with the adoption, we have you complete our Adoption Contract and pay the adoption fee. 5. We drop our dogs off at their new homes to make sure all is well. 6. We email you the dog's vet records and microchip information.
