Catfish's Story

Catfish 🐾<br/><br/>Meet Catfish, a five-year-old, seventy-five-pound gentle giant who has absolutely no idea how big he is! Cuddly, gentle, loving, and handsome, Catfish is calm and low-key at home, with a playful side that comes out when he's riled up for some fun. He'd happily spend all day sitting in your lap, giving kisses, and staying as close to his people as possible.<br/><br/>Catfish is very people-oriented and adapted quickly to a new home and family, including a toddler he warmed right up to. He does excellently with people of all ages and would be a fantastic match for a family with kids. He's also great with other dogs — a little submissive at first, but quick to settle in and start playing once things feel comfortable.<br/><br/>He's potty trained, knows "come," "sit," "down," and "shake," and is good on a leash. He's calm when left alone or when guests visit, and his ideal day is simple: cuddles, a couple of walks, and plenty of quality time with his people.<br/><br/>What his foster says about him:<br/>"Catfish is the definition of a lovable gentle giant. He has a wonderfully calm, sweet demeanor and is well trained and very well behaved. He's affectionate, cuddly and gentle with both kids and adults, and he has minimal to no shedding."

True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy
First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
